We’ve arrived safe and sound in Holland. The trip over was good.. I read a bit and snoozed a bit, while DD did some sketching:
It was a nice empty plane… DD sat behind me in an aisle seat, and we both had the chair next to us empty, so we could spread out 🙂
We are staying at a cute cottage that we rented for the month, in The Middle of Nowhere….. See the little cottage on the right? That’s ours 🙂 The owners live in the big house. Mum and Dad are in the bedroom downstairs, DD and I are upstairs in the attic…
The entrance to the cottage is on the side…
View from the back.. that’s my window up there!
They’ve got such cute decorations everywhere:
Roughly translated the sign says “Good to have ya!”
Love the gumboots!!!
And the watering can….
And of course there has to be a bike… we are in Holland after all 🙂
This property was once a farm, but not anymore. I’m not sure how many acres they own, but they do have some sheep (who were too shy for the photo today) and chookies:
It’s lovely and peaceful here.. and I am certainly going to use some of the outside decorating ideas one day when I go home to my own little property!
There is a bus stop right across the road, so DD and I will be venturing out in a few days to go and explore! But it is also nice to relax here at the cottage for a day and catch our breath. I am not jetlagged because it is only 1 hour difference from Arabia, but DD will need a bit more time!
I think this is a lovely base to travel around the country from, don’t you?
