  1. Thanks for all the info, Joy. I am not quilter. But I love to see beautiful quilts and I appreciate all the work that goes into it 🙂

  2. This is a mammoth post, and covers lots of things I have wondered about. Well done Joy! Very perceptive. I haven’t currently got the courage to quilt for money…. charity quilts – where they get the service for free and have no super attachment to the quilt is all my blood pressure can currently manage! 🙂 xx

    1. I know what you mean, Dione, and I certainly did a lot of charity quilts… they were much less stressful than “real” customer quilts… you never know, you might get there one day! In the meantime, just keep doing what you are doing 🙂 xx

  3. Another interesting post Joy 🙂 The pricing thing is always going to cause some inner conflict! When my daughter started her graphoc design business (freelance) she started off quite cheap as that is what she thought SHE was worth, but was told by close friends and designers that she was undervaluing the whole industry by doing that – and also to believe in herself more!

    1. You are quite right Raewyn, we must not undervalue ourselves or the industry! It really very hard to work out pricing, especially when you feel you are not as experienced as others… xx
