Fear of zips you say? Anyone else have that problem?
My fear of zips came from dressmaking. I could never get them in quite “perfect”… and back then it had to be perfect…
When I came across the Circle Zip Earbud Tutorial I thought to myself, she makes it look so easy! And it was! And from then I was was addicted to zips 🙂
…..so addicted that I once bought a box of 1200 zips at a garage sale…. yes…. and I still have about 1200 of those zips… 🙂 No, just kidding, I have used a fair few and given them to friends… but they will still last me a lifetime!!
When I make these zippy pouches I usually make more than one…
Then I give them away… or use them myself… I have one on my travel handbag…
So that I don’t have to dig around in my handbag on the plane to find my earbuds… and when I get sick of the one I am using I change it out with another one.. because a change is as good as a holiday, right? Right.
Once I made a whole matching set of little goodies including a circle zip earbud pouch out of two fat quarters…

It’s a great little tutorial, isn’t it. One year I made a bunch of them for Christmas presents. Perhaps I should make one for me. I like your idea of attaching to a handbag.

That is the perfect way to practice putting in zippers! My problem is that it has been a billion years since I made a dress. They never used to bother me. Back when I was young and brave!
i’ve been meaning to make one of these for ages. My earphones are stuffed in my bag and I spend ages untangling them every time I use them! I find it funny that people call them earbuds – an earbud in England is a Q-tip.
I should have made one of these before we left on our holiday… it would have made finding my earbuds in my laptop bag sooo much easier!
