  1. We’re quilters. You don’t have to justify your purchase to us. We get it. But just for the record, some fabric probably would have been cheaper!! LOL!

  2. Sounds like a very informed decision to me! Wishing you many happy hours of sewing with her – once you’ve done your packing of course!!

  3. Have fun with you new machine. I needed to buy a little lighter machine a few years back & really couldn’t spare the $$ for another Janome & a 2nd hand one wasn’t to be found. So i bought a Brother & i don’t like it. The quilt i was working on has blocks sewn in both machines & boy was that ever a mistake. I often think about selling it or trading it in on a Janome. Hugs,xx

  4. oh my! I only have one machine and an overlocker that hasn’t been used in ages! How lucky are you? Enjoy your new to you machine.

  5. Enjoy your “sort of” new machine & realise how old mine is now, but how could I ever part with a “trusty Bernina”. (23 years old now). I actually put a backing on Bubs today & intend to get her going again after a 4 month sleep.
I’ve so much to do & don’t know where to start. Take care.

  6. I have a 340 and I love it. I also have a Singer featherweight and two other older Singers. Plus my m-i-l’s Pfaff that I got from my s-i-l last Christmas. She had used it for 10 years and never cleaned it and it was jammed up and not stitching, but I finally found someone who got it working for me. But I love my Bernina and can’t imagine not using it.

  7. More stuff to pack???? are you nuts? lovely though and clearly those machines do it for you… you never know you may need to leave one in a shop for samples and lessons anyway…

  8. Hi inn no think it sounds lovely and love that you name your machines. I have always had older singers and inherited my moms Morse which is a great workhorse. Yesterday I purchased a 20 year old Bernina Vituosa 155 Haven’t got to try everything out yet. I’m excited and reading stuff like this makes me more excited.
Question. Do you have to have the embroidery module to embroider on it ?
