It’s amazing how things just happen overnight… before I went to Holland I had no idea that I would be changing my flights to leave a few days earlier because we are going on a holiday to Mexico….
In the middle of getting DD settled into her new home in Holland, DH got an email from work telling him that he (and a plus 1, me!) had been invited to join a whole bunch of other people from his company for a 4 day event in Mexico….
It was very unexpected… and so exciting!
I’m not just excited about going on a free holiday to Mexico, but also because we are stopping over in the US and going to see…. Alice!!!!!
The last time I saw Alice was in Perth, back in Sept 2009… so you can see why I am soooo excited…..

It will be my first visit to the US, and my first time in North America…. Pretty cool! I am looking forward to seeing places in real life that I have only read about in books, or seen on the movies… 🙂
Alice and I are going to sew… and go to quilt shops… and sew… and go to op shops… and sew… oh and we will blog a bit too so that you can enjoy with us 🙂 I’m pretty sure her DH has a few things planned for us as well… I’ll be taking lots of photos!
We’ve also got a few days in New York City, so as long as the internet behaves, I will be doing my next post from there…

I am so glad that you will be getting to see some of the US–and I hope you have a good time in NYC–and I really did try to find a way to get to Alice’s so we could all be together–but–!!!
And I know that Alice is working hard to plan things and sewing time for when you are there–so some fun times are ahead for you all–
