This is what we have so far:

This week we are going to be working with the half-square triangle units we made last week, the Twenty (20) 2 1/2″ background squares, and Four (4) of the 4 1/2″ squares (we cut all of these out in week 1).
Step 1
Take Eight (8) 2 1/2″ background fabric squares and take Eight (8) half-square triangles units we made last week in Step 2. Arrange them like in the photo below…. and sew them together like this:

Press towards the background fabric:

You’ll end up with eight units like this:

Step 2
Now we are going to take the Eight (8) units we made last week in step 1, the Four (4) remaining 2 1/2″ background squares and Four (4) of the 4 1/2″ background squares.
Lay them down in the order below, and sew them together like this:

Once the two rows are sewn, sew them together like this:

And you will have four of these units:

And that is it for today!!
