Spring has sprung Down Under, and in the midst of many other happenings, I have been out in the garden….
I’ve also been enjoying bringing some of the garden inside!

Things have been busy with preparing to build a cozy little house in our backyard for my parents… we have been working on getting their house ready to sell…

DS has been a great help!
Dad also dug up a bunch of daffodils to plant at our place so that they can enjoy them here next spring:

I’ve been slowly planting them, and my body is not used to gardening! I’ve had many nights falling into bed with my body aching.. but I am getting fitter, so that is good!
I bought some standard roses to put in front of our house:

and planted some of the bulbs under them…
With the beautiful weather, it is lovely to hang the washing out…

Hopefully by Christmas, there will be a little house behind the clothesline… and we will have to find another spot to hang the clothes!
There hasn’t been much sewing or crafting going on – we are concentrating on getting my parents here by the end of the year. Obviously, blogging is also on the back burner, and I do apologize for that… one day things should settle down… right?!
DD is here to visit for three weeks! We are going to go wedding dress shopping… out for cuppas and generally enjoy time together!
In closing… Sylvie says hi!

Hope you are all well and please do some sewing for me!

What pretty flowers 💐, cute doggy and pretty quilts
I think of you often–such a busy time but joyful goings on all the same! Loved the pics and the connect! happy for you!
My goodness such happenings! So exciting that your folks will live near and that they brought a piece of home with them – the daffodils will be so pretty. Is your daughter getting married? Wishing you well, Joy, and praying lots of energy for you!
I’m glad you are able to find a good solution to looking after your parents. I’ve been looking at tiny houses and thinking that maybe one day it might be something I could do, but it would depend on there being available space to build such a thing.
Sylvie is so beautiful. I love her eyes. So, your spring begins and fall is beginning here in the states. Some of our trees have begun changing colors just a little bit. I love fall, but winter comes right behind and we tend to have snowy, cold winters here in Northwest Pennsylvania. We aren’t far from Lake Erie so we get lake effect snow. I didn’t see your posts about your Mum and Dad moving close to you. How exciting. Happy Spring, Joy! 🌸🌺🌷🌹🪻
