Once a fortnight, I get together with some ladies and we have a cuppa. We go to a cafe in a small country town about an hour away. One of the fun things about the cafe is that they sell crafts made by the local craft group – proceeds go to the community.

Every time we go, different things are hanging on the walls… It’s quite a popular place to buy gifts, particularly for new babies or grandkids.
I was really intrigued by this crocheted baby jacket:

and the blanket that goes with it:

Since my crochet skills are better than my knitting ones, I thought I might have a go at making one – that’s if I can find the pattern. I have asked for it, but all I was told was that the lady got it on the internet…. haha! If you know what the pattern is, please let me know!!
Here’s another set in a different color:

That lady must be so quick at making these sets!!
I also love this little poncho:

I NEED to find the pattern for that too… I think I will need to put more pressure on my friend to actually get the patterns for me, or at least links of where the lady got them.
Here’s another poncho:

My friend says they raise quite a lot of money for the community, which is lovely.
There are other crafty items for sale as you can see in the photos above. I’ll post more another day…
I have been doing a bit of crochet myself on a blanket that I want to put on the couch on our back porch:

It’s a giant granny square with three colors.. It goes very quickly in the beginning, but I’m getting to the stage where it is taking quite a while to get around each square! At least I am doing something creative….
DD and I are planning to do some sewing together this week… hopefully I will have something to report on in that department soon!
Have a lovely week!

OH WOW love these you’re so talented
How fun you are able to get together with your friends and do something fun. I hope you can find the pattern for those cute jackets and blankets. Your crocheted blanket is gorgeous. Have fun with your DD!
That sweater and blanket are awesome. I would love the pattern too!I have a friend that crochets endlessly, she may have the pattern. I’ll check!
thank you Joy, love the crochet set too. what a lovely place to visit with friends.
happy crafting,
Emma UK
How nice to get together with other yarn people!!!
I would check Ravelry. They have loads of patterns. Also, since you have a picture, you could google search with the camera icon. Sometimes it finds things really quick. Your giant Granny is looking really good. I hope we get to see a finished image.
I find it difficult looking for a particular pattern on the internet. they are lovely. So is your blanket. I must say I find it so relaxing doing a bit of crochet at the end of the day – it will be too hot to want a blanket on my lap soon…

These are awesome, Joy!! You crochet so well. I need to try my hand at it again. I have saved TONS of patterns! LOL Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings.
I see someone else suggested looking on Ravelry for the patterns. I’ve gotten away from having to make baby things so most of my pattern collection is gone. There are so many on the internet now that I don’t need to keep files of them. Hope someone can help you find it.
