Goodies from Walmart & Alice

I realized I forgot to tell you we went to Walmart when we were in the US 🙂
And guess what I found there?
Yup! Fabric!!!
If I remember correctly we went there to buy shorts for DH, tops for me, and milk……………..
But somehow Alice and I sniffed out some fabric 🙂
I have some baby quilts to make, so that is why I went for those choices…
And remember the bag of goodies Alice had on my sewing chair?
I have unpacked them and and thought I’d take pics to show you… note the bag they came in was from Amish country!!!! Wish we had time to go there in real life… well, next time, right?!
So, first up, the patterns….
See the paper pieced kaleidoscope EPP? Looking forward to starting that! I think that will be my next travel project…
There were the cutest charm packs…
And some fabric… isn’t it soooo fun?!

There were some kits in the bag as well… and other cute assorted goodies…
Notice there are two needle threaders… how does Alice know I need needle threaders?!
There were also some country style goodies – panels, and Pioneer Woman napkins!
And another panel, with a matching apron panel…
I think that is the first thing I will sew up – the apron panel.. because I need another one here…
And finally a bundle of fat quarters:

How fun to be back home and unpacking all your goodies! You have a very generous and inspiring pile of things there from Alice and a great momento of your time together!
That bag held a lot of fun projects, fabrics and potential. It will be exciting to see what you come up with 😁
You put all that new fabric away, Missy, and get to work on some UFO’s! Your struck the motherlode! I think that should keep you out of trouble for quite some time. And when you get to Lancaster County (Amish country), I WILL be there to meet you!!
Does one ever have enough fabric? Just saying. Enjoyed your vacation in the US with you. Travel on!!

Wow! What a fabulous bag of goodies from Alice, what a generous thoughtful friend. I love the fabric for the apron. I also loved the fabric with the lady with the scooter, cars etc. I showed hubbie and he said, ‘please don’t buy any for a dress’. Now wouldn’t that be fun!!! X
