Yes, I am still here.. somewhere… 🙂 Slowly getting over the jetlag, so that is good.
Yesterday was a fun day because I managed to get to craft and catch up with all the ladies there, including Shez!! It was so lovely to see them all and hear all the chatter… and also see what they were all working on.
Lots of knitting, lots of socks.. yes, it’s winter and many of the ladies were knitting socks again!

Seeing all those socks makes me think I need to find my ball of sock wool and my needles and make another attempt at knitting socks…. last time I tried I failed dismally!
Other knitting that the group has done while I was away was displayed here:
Lots of blankets and scarves for one of the local soup kitchens.. I am sure they will be well appreciated at this time of the year!
It was lovely to see Shez and give her a hug… she was working on these applique blocks…
I spent more time chatting than doing anything… I only managed a few stitches on Mermaid # 3:
After craft we went out for lunch and more chatter! It was a lovely day….
Now I have three more sleeps till I head over to Judy’s for another Mystery Retreat!
So excited!

Glad you are back with all your friends and having a good time–
I got 4 mermaids all stitched (one swam to VA to see Alice in her birthday box–and guess which color that one was???)!!
also got the “Gentleness” block done–I do need to get back to work on the Dutch girl–but am working really hard to try to finish my OMG for June–not sure I can get it finished as I have a busy week here–time will tell–

So nice that you could get together with your group again and chat away! A lot of knitting going on there! I have never tried knitting sox. Probably never will. I probably don’t have the patience and would rather work on other things but some of them sure do look comfortable. Enjoy the retreat! Nancy
The warmest pair of socks I have are hand knitted – bought for me by my sister. I really should start knitting again and make a pair.
