Welcome to Day 10 of 31 Days of Getting Organized!
Today is the 10th of the month, which means it is time for the last block of Alice and my free Fruit of the Spirit block of the month to go up on Craftsy! More on that later 🙂
Every year I sign up for way too many online blocks of the month 🙂 I’m sure I’m the only one who does this……………………
Most of them I save for a rainy day, or retirement (boy am I going to be busy when I retire!!), but some of them I actually start! (Very few of them are actually finished, but that is a different story!!)
I like to store the blocks of the month that I am working on in tubs. I label them, and then put all the fabric, instructions and blocks in together:
I also like to have a sheet to track which ones I have done, which ones I am up to, where I got the pattern from, etc…. this is one of the printables I use:
The above printable is part of my Sewing and Quilting Notebooking Pages that are for sale on Craftsy. You can print out as many as you want for as many blocks of the month you may be involved in… which in my case are quite a few….
Of course if I exercised some self-control, I wouldn’t have that many tubs and printables and UFOs…. which brings me to the block for this month, which just happens to be, you guessed it:
Check it out on Craftsy, where all of the blocks are still up for free…
How do you organize your blocks of the month?
very organised…. I do like the tubs too but they are much more haphazard than yours… I also like to have them together in their own cupboard
Hugz
You are very organised there Joy. Because of having no sewing room my boxes containing projects are all over the place. I need to set aside a day, before it gets to hot, & get them all together & then makes a spreadsheet for myself to work on things & finish ufo’s. 🙂 Hugs,xx
Thank you for the beautiful stitchery. And since I have no “self-control” this one is in my “future works” bin 🙂
I try not to do any BOMs, but have started one of the Meadow Mist qals & at the moment the ones I’ve done are sitting on the design wall & the fabric on the floor & cutting table. Definitely not organised like you. Too ideas of my own I want to try to get on with it properly.
Mine rarely get out of the dreaming stage so are mostly stored on the computer – I have a BOM folder for each year. Any I do start are stored in tubs or boxes – anywhere in my room..sigh…not nearly as organised as you!
I like the way you have labeled each of the bins! I store them but ususlly work and finish them soon so I don’t label!
Self-control? What’s that? LOL Are those more IKEA baskets? That’s a great way to organize them. I like their sliding things, because then there’s no unstacking required!
