  1. For bigger projects, I love the 31 Bag my sis-in-love gave me. For little embroidery projects, I have a smaller bag with see-through outer pockets in which I can tuck the various threads/flosses. I do wish both of them had a way to close better so stuff wouldn’t fall out, but for now this works.

  2. Oh, no on the condition of the socks when you arrived! I have a cloth bag I stick a project in when I go to the doctor’s etc. The only problem is that sometimes I am in the middle of a row when they call me in! Nancy

  3. I usually have a quilt binding in progress to take places. I have given up crafting on airplanes with kids in tow! I like your solutions though for when the kids are a bit older and want to sit at the opposite end of the plane to their parents! 🙂

  4. It’s still a work in progress for me! I’ve given up taken anything other than crocheting on a plane..usually just thrown in a small calico bag. In the car I have bags thrown on the back seat which I reach for when I need them!

  6. I don’t travel much so it’s not so much of an issue for me, but here’s a suggestion – get yourself some point protectors for your needles and that will (hopefully!) stop the yarn from falling off. DPN’s are notorious for stitches slipping off so protectors are cheap insurance.

  7. Sorry don’t have hand projects for anywhere, if I have an appointment and time to wait, I usually take my kindle to read, or catch up on blogs on my phone.

  8. I am doing a Christmas bag swap with yarn people, and now I wish I’d thought of the drawstring idea for my bag – it’s a great idea! You’ve had a lot of good ideas in this series.

  9. I always have a pair of socks on the go in my handbag. I use a small zipper pouch. Now I use the magic loop instead of the double point needles and the stitches stay in place. Xx
