I’m amazed… I’m actually finally getting some sewing done 🙂 And I am crossing things off my monthly goals list…. about time too!
After finishing the purple quilt, I played with the patchwork bunny… (see free pattern for it here)
The reason I have been putting off doing the applique on this bunny, is because I wasn’t sure which color thread to use… Isn’t it often the case that small things stop us from finishing projects? Or is it just me?!
Because it was multicolored I was being OCD about the thread color…. once I decided I was going to go with the light pink, I finished the applique in less than 15 min!!
I decided to go for blanket stitch, using stitch #45 on Nina (Bernina 440).
I used foot #20 because it is nice and wide – makes it easy to see where you’re going:
I did change to green to do the stems 🙂
Now I need to wait for my shipment to come from Arabia because it has the matching fabric I need to finish it…
Alice is one step ahead of me – she got the tail on!
And of course you may remember that Lola is way ahead of both of us having finished it last year already:
