Just a quick answer to a question about the embroidery thread I used for the ornament – the silver is DMC 5283, a metallic thread that is hard to work with, but I think it has come up well…

Very sweet! Re the problems with the metallic thread, have you tried a produce called ‘Thread Heaven”? I find coating problem thread with that (and also using a bit shorter lengths then I normally would) makes it a whole lot easier.
I love your Christmas blocks and am saving them… at the moment I just cant’ get round to doing them…

Thank you Joy for the 2nd block! I finally finished up the first one tonight! I cheated a little and did something else for the dots and stars. Would you tell me how to press it correctly? Now on to the second one! I am happy to be getting a little experience in embroidery! Nancy
