Scrappy Mystery Quilt-a-long Step 7

I think some of you will already have guessed what step 7 in our Scrappy Mystery Quilt-a-long is going to be 🙂
We’re going to be using all our odds and ends that we’ve been sewing together so far…
And… yes… sew them up into a large quilt block:
This step is pretty straightforward… we’re basically dividing the pile of strips into two, and placing them around the 9 patch:
Starting with the side strips, pin one on either side of the block:
Sew and press towards the scrappy strip:
Then add the top and bottom strips:
Pin and sew..
And press towards the scrappy strip again:
And that’s it for this step!
Now normally I’d have a pic to show you my pile of blocks, but the past two days have been hectic and so I am behind on my own Mystery Quilt-a-long!!! Don’t worry, I’ll have all 12 blocks done by the next step on Friday 🙂
