  1. Yay, you did it & so have I. So glad he’s home and hope you all settle into routines before too long. I’ve missed your blogging & I think you’ve just dropped me in it, so now I’ll have to get my skates on. Loaded a small quilt onto Bubs today & may get to it tomorrow. Your chookies look good. Take care and stay safe. Hugs.

  2. It’s nice to have you back and I’m glad you get to be with your husband again. That batik quilt looks so pretty – so colorful, yet soft.

  3. So so glad to hear from you! I have been thinking of you and spot checking the bog to make sure I haven’t fallen off the email list. I have been meaning to touch base, but of course the days get away from me one at a time, sorry. I’m so glad to hear that some of your absentee reasons are amazingly positive things going on. Wonderful to know that hubby is home with you now – how pleased you must be. Sorry to hear about the iron and fatigue, I hope you can get on top of all that. Apart from that, your post has left me all smiles.

  4. Good to hear from you. It might be an old wives tale, but I have cooked with cast iron pans whenever possible and it seems to help iron levels. Just a possibility. I look forward to joining you on sewing adventures soon.

  5. So happy your husband is back home and I’m sorry you are having issues with your low iron. Hope you are feeling better real soon. The batik quilt is gorgeous. I’ve been slow with my blog as well, having some health issues as well. Praying for both of us!

  6. I glad your hubby is home. I hope your doctor is looking into why your iron levels dropped so low and not just treating the problem with an infusion and supplements.

  7. It’s good to hear from you! Glad your hubby is home now even if you do have to share your sewing space with him! LOL I hope you are feeling better. My iron levels are low also and have had some hair loss because of it. My dermatologist had me start taking Floradix. It hasn’t had time to kick in just yet for energy though. Hang in there, friend!

  8. A grand welcome home to your DH! I wouldn’t mind switching things up for his arrival either.
I’m sorry you have been slow–I now how it doesn’t take much to knock our finely tuned machines out of timing! lol Take it easy==adding protein is a good idea and hoping the infusion will help! Take care!

  9. I’m so happy that you have been reunited after all this time – that’s wonderful. I’m sure it will take a bit of adjustment to have him around, not only in the sense of moving things to make room – just the fact of having another person there. Hope you get your energy level back up to where it should be soon. Take care of you!

  10. Great to see you emerge from your tidying and sorting, Joy 🙂 How exciting that your DH is home – I can’t remember, but it must be a very long time since you have seen him? I hope he doesn’t mind the hum of the sewing machine while he works from home…hmmmm! There is nothing worse than living with such low iron levels…. I hope you can get on top of why they got so low (sometimes it’s more than just ‘being a woman’). Great that you got some quilting done!

  11. Oh Dear–lots going on at your house and no energy–that’s a bumber!!!
I have been through the iron def–myself years ago–(I needed to have a hysterotomy to totally cure my problem!! But the one thing I learned about iron–is you have to have Vit C too –they area marriage of sorts–you need both for the iron to get into your system–so drink lots of orange juice or take a C supplement!!! I also had bad iron def-when I was pregnant for both of my kids years and years ago and even those high iron pills the dr office gives you didn’t really help all that much–that was because they didn’t tell me about the Vit c–
Ok–Dr Di is done for now–do pray though for me–I got a call this morning that my friend who ran me to the grocery store last Thurs has Covid!!!!
    Luv, di

  12. I love your chickens. Hope you feel better soon. My iron level is okay but unexplained anemia. Will see an hematologist next month. How do I subscribe to your newsletter? Enjoy having your hubby home again.

  13. Great to have Hubby home… did he have difficulty getting a flight? Hope you iron sorts out soon… can be very draining.
    Hugz

  14. So good to see you back! I’m happy to know that your DH is also home, through quarantine, and has a home-grown job now. You may miss the view from those heights in the middle east now and then, but you are together and safer, and I know you are happier at home! I recently self-diagnosed that I needed more iron – my blood tests didn’t show it deficient, but I started taking One a Day vitamins for women, and I already feel better. Maybe it isn’t the iron but one of the bazillion other things in the pills, but I’m crediting the iron anyway. =)
