Time to look at a bit of This and That!

Last Week’s This and That

As predicted, last week was super busy… I had two full training days for my new job, in a town that is a three hour round trip away… I was pretty tired by the time I got home both days!

Then I also had to do more online training… I think I am about done, unless they come up with something else for me to do! Now I need to see when they will assign me to my first client….

I did a bit of pottering around the house, and I got a bunch of goodies in the mail because it was my birthday on the weekend!

First up I got a some fun bits and pieces from Alice:

Now how did she know I was thinking about doing the Barn Star Sampler SAL with the Fat Quarter Shop?! Now I have no excuse… so it’s going on the to do list for this year!

Then, my birthday quilt arrived!!! When I saw the preview of Calico Garden last year on Lori Holt’s you tube channel, I knew I had to have it for my birthday….

It is adorable…. The kit comes with all the fabric and the pattern…

I’m pretty sure that wad of fabric on the left is a bunch of fat quarters that I will have fun folding later this week!

There are instructions to cut every bit of fabric… and I might see if I can do that…

I also bought the Sew Simple Shapes and some of Lori’s interfacing so that I can use the flip around method this time:

So now I have two more projects to add to my list… not to mention a few others I found along the way….

I was planning February out, and decided I’d better make a list of all the quilts I am working on from last year plus the ones that I am adding….

I only just had enough space in that little section… I need to knock some off the list before I start more……… hahahaha!

This Week’s This and That

Not really sure what this week will hold… I may start work, or I may not… if I don’t, then I will be trying to spend as much time as I can in the sewing room….

I’m going post my To Do list tomorrow… because it requires a little bit more thought!
