MY FEATURE
It’s been a busy week with DD going back home after spending three weeks with us, and my stomach getting back to normal after my colonoscopy last week!
Not much has been going on in the sewing or crochet area, but this weekend I want to start a new project:
DH and I are off camping and I thought this sweet cross-stitch would be the perfect project to take with me.. I haven’t done any cross-stitch for years, but this is for a good cause, so I bought the pattern and I will keep you posted on my progress!
In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Fat Quarter Shop is hosting Sew Pink 2025 and donating up to $5,000 from the proceeds of their Sew Pink Quilting Notion Set, Sew Pink Cross Stitch Notion Set and Hope Forever Simply Stamps Cross Stitch Pattern to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
They also have a free foundation paper pieced quilt block pattern available to download:
I am going to make this as well – it’s also been a while since I did paper piecing, but I do enjoy it, so that is going on my to-do list and I will keep you updated with that as well!
It would be lovely if you joined me in either project above in October…

HOME MATTERS LINKY PARTY GUIDELINES:
- Please take some time to poke around and visit some of the other links.
- Please take some time to check out your hosts and co-hosts on social media.
- We appreciate the variety of blogs on the www; however, the Home Matters Party is for links on matters of the HOME. Please link accordingly.
- We ask that you do not add other Linky Parties, Blog Hops, or Giveaways–unless you begin the party with a new project, recipe or post.
- On the same note, please do not add links of an extremist, political or strong controversial nature. (The hosts and co-hosts read each and every blog post linked and will contact you directly if you have linked something that does not fit into the realm of the party.)
With your help, we can continue to grow the Home Matters Party! Thank you!
WE ARE LOOKING FOR CO-HOSTS. HELP US ROCK THIS PARTY!

I’m so happy for you that your procedure is behind you now and you can go camping and hopefully relax a bit and enjoy!
I’ve made those smashed potatoes and they are definitely yummy! The quilt pattern is something I am going to check into further. Love the look of it!
That slow cooker chicken recipe has been printed and awaits the pleasure of the Resident Chef. I’m always a fan of anything done in a slow cooker so looking forward to it.
