I can’t believe it is the 1st of December!! Where has the year gone?
I am pretty sure I said this last year too.. and probably the year before… at least this year I am getting my decorating up early – last year I never even managed to get the ornaments on the tree!!!
With regards to the latter, I am a step ahead – because I found the box of decorations and have set them in front of the tree.. ready to start decorating:

My Lego Advent Calendar is up, and I opened the first window today:

Today is Elsa with a penguin… tried to get a close up but it went fuzzy… so this is the best I can do right now…

The bookshelves in the lounge room have been cleared and dusted (ha!!), ready for my beautiful Christmas Lego Village…

Just in case you are wondering, I don’t take apart the sets each year, but put them, as best I can without breaking them, into ziplock bags that I reuse again each year:

Any little bits that have come off can usually be put back on by one of my boys…
I don’t know when the tradition started, but I think I may have bought myself the first two Lego village houses. Then, from then on, each year whoever had me for Christmas bought another one.. until it has become tradition that I get one every year… this is the one I got last year:

It’s Santa’s delivery workshop – it even has a letter chute that sorts letters!! Very cool…
I have only just started taking the main houses out:

I have lots of extras to go around them… and little figures… like these that are still on here from last year:

My adult children enjoy putting the mini-figures in the strangest settings… It’s all a bit of fun!
Well, I’d better keep unpacking and setting up the rest of the Lego… Happy December!!!

That is very creative. I have never seen a Lego Christmas set.
What fun Joy! I can’t wait to see your entire collection. And what gorgeous shelves you have to display them. How funny that your adult kids like to put them in strange places. We will decorate later this week, and I can’t wait.
The Lego village is a new one to me and very sweet to discover new parts!
I have never seen or even heard of a Lego village! Very cute!! I look forward to seeing the entire collection in those bookshelves!
OMGoodness! What a fun tradition and such a cool display! I hope you take a picture of the whole display to share with us.
You know I envy you all those Christmas Lego pieces. Thank you for sharing them!
