And another block is done for Sherri’s 2026 block of the month… .

I’ve been using my two sets of Alphabitties to keep track of the pieces I’ve cut before I start sewing them together. I find them very handy. I did buy some AlphaClippies last year, but I seem to have put them in a “safe place” during the sewing room move, and they haven’t turned up yet… sigh… Anyway, the alphabitties are doing the trick for now.
Lots of chain sewing happening again…

and using the cutting gizmo… makes cutting the pieces apart so much quicker and less likely to snip into the fabric by accident.
I’m very happy with the placement of my ironing board in my new sewing room other than the fact that the lighting is not good in that area either… I get shadows over it at night. I’ll have to see whether I can get another light hung up or something… but it’s not that urgent….

I am making good use of my Cute Cuts rulers with this bom. My half square triangles aren’t that far off, but trimming them still seems to make the pieces fit together better in the block…

Laying the bits out again to make sure I’ve got them right….

as I chain sew each column….

Under close supervision by Loki:

Sylvie doesn’t really like being in the new sewing room with me… she prefers it out in the sunroom where she can’t get run over when I move from the sewing machine to the ironing board… can’t say I blame her!
Here are the first three blocks done!

And I have picked out the fabric for April’s block:

Did I mention I’m on a roll??!! I hope it stays that way!

Pretty block patterns do you sell the quilts or just keep them?
You really are on a roll Joy! I just love your fabrics. That is a neat “gizmo” thingy – I do often clip part of the fabric by accident.
The blocks are shaping up beautifully!
Looking Good!
