The April block for Sherri’s 2026 block of the month was a little more challenging….

I discovered the Cute Cuts rulers aren’t only useful for trimming but also for fussy cutting:

I kept doing more chain sewing….

….the rate I’m going, the cutting gizmo may need a blade replacement soon… I know I have one… somewhere……..!

Back to placing everything down on the cutting board before I sew them together….

And this is why I lay them out at each step… can you spot the difference?

The layout on the right was the correct one… I mean, it would have been fine the other way too, but I’m still glad I caught my mistake.

Do you notice something different in the picture above?

I redid the January block because it looked too dark compared to the other ones….

I will still keep the darker block and turn it into a cushion cover, OR, if I find I get darker blocks later in the quiltalong, I may put it back in…. not sure yet! I like both of them really… we shall see…
