a bit of This and That (on a Tuesday Morning ~ Again )!
Maybe I should change it to Tuesday This and That since I’ve been late two weeks in a row……. hahaha!
Last Week’s This and That
My two silky chickens started laying… in the laying boxes finally, and I was getting some cute little eggs, but then they decided to go broody and try to sit on them…
Now I do intend to let them hatch some eggs, but not at this stage because I don’t have the right place to put them while they sit… so until then they will have to put up with me taking them out of the nests a few times a day….. not that they seem to care right now, they peck around and then go straight back to the box! And I’m back to buying my eggs 🙂
I have been sewing inserts for Sarah…
And I got my Juki out of the shed and into the studio…
I cleaned it up a lot, now I need to get someone out to service it before I can use it.
This Week’s This and That
My cousin is over from Holland and my sister and family are visiting from Queensland – so it is a fun but busy week this week!
Have you got a bit of This and That to share? Then join in!
You don’t need to have your post formatted the same way as I do, but you can if you want… Just link your blog post containing a recap of last week, or the weekend, or your plans for this week…. or any bit of this and that you want to share with us!

Awww cute chookies. Enjoy the family time this week. Hopefully you get some nice weather and the rain stays away.
Enjoy your company!!!! The unpacking is happening bit by bit!
How exciting that your cousin is out for a visit – it sounds like you are in for a great time! Oh dear with your beautiful chickens….exactly why I stick to my boring old Shaver breed! My Aunty taught me the trick of putting the clucky girls in a ‘naughty box’ for a couple of days – I use an old guinea pig cage which has no hay or comfortable nesting area – so they can’t nest and they will soon stop being clucky… I have to do that with an old chook of a different breed that I have.
I love those chickens and so want to pet them! My mother always had Rhode Island Red chickens and they weren’t the least bit fun to pet, but I was given a pair of banties that I made pets out of.
Enjoy your company!
Hope you’ve had a good week with all your visitors & I’ll ring later next week. The studio looks very different with the Juki in there. Take care & hugs.
