WELCOME TO THE SUMMER MYSTERY STITCHALONG WEEK 2 – A RELAXING, FUN STITCHALONG!
Well last week went by quickly! It’s already time to add to our Summer Mystery Stitchalong!
Proposed Schedule for the Summer Mystery Stitchalong
Week 1 – Friday 22nd September – First Step
Week 2 – Today – Second step
Week 3 – Friday 6th October -Third step
Week 4 – Friday 13th October – Fourth Step
Week 5 – Friday 20th October – Final Step
Summer Mystery Stitchalong Ice Cream
This week we are adding an ice cream…. mine is pink, with yellow sprinkles.. and a cherry on top!
This week I’ll be using these threads:
DMC 3826 for the cone
DMC 3705 for the ice cream
DMC 743 for the sprinkles – French Knots with only one strand
DMC 349 for the cherry
and
DMC 975 for the stem of the cherry
and I forgot to pick a color for the stem while I was out in my studio – I’ll use a darker brown, or the same as the cone…
“HOW TO” FOR THE SEcond STEP IN THE STITCHALONG
Download the pattern below and print it out. Using a light box or window, trace and add the ice cream to your stitchery….. and then start stitching!

You have reminded me that we didn’t get our yearly trip to the dairy to get one of their massive ice cream cones. Don’t think we went last year either. Oh well, I guess my waistline is happier.
