I hesitate to say this out loud, but I think I am getting back into the swing of things!
After catching up with the RSC blocks, I decided I would work on Sherri’s BOM. I had only done January, so of course, I am terribly behind. I am planning on catching up by the end of the month, which means one block a week…. let’s see how I go!
I’ve been sewing a bit in the evenings… and have found that the light is pretty bad in my new sewing room. So I found a spare standard light floating around the house and decided to try that out. It did help a little bit:

I’ve been enjoying lighting some candles and sewing in the evenings as winter has set in (my favorite season of the year!). It is getting dark earlier and earlier, so I’d say I’ll be doing a lot of sewing at night for the next three or four months.
I printed out February’s block and worked on that….

There were a lot of 2″ squares for the corners… and I used my handy dandy Cute Cuts ruler to trim them:

I seem to have lost my 2 1/2″ one of these, which is a real hassle! I will need to order another one….
I like laying everything out as I go, just in case I have made a mistake…

Looking good so far….

Loki helped…. or was just wanting dinner….
Either way, we got the block done:

… and up on the design wall next to January’s block!
Now I’m off to pick fabric for the March block…

Like you, I am WAY behind on these – in fact, just collecting at this point! Cute blocks. Love the fabric you are using. You’ll have these caught up in no time at a block per week. You can do it!!
Yay on that pretty block Joy! Your fabrics are so pretty.
Sherri is a bit slow about adding the new blocks each month, and there is no hurry of course. There is a Facebook page, and some of the members seem to be in a contest to see who can complete and post their block first – lol! Some of them post their block the same day the pattern comes out – good grief!
