Embroidered Mermaids, Mini Quilts and Applique Hearts…..

I am still on my own little quilt retreat with Nina – a few days longer, because DH has had a few more days of work here… So I have been working on mermaids, mini quilts, and applique hearts….
First up, the hearts, I am really loving them!

I’m using a charm pack by the way… I think it’s called Breakfast at Tiffany’s…
I got the binding done on another micro mini, made with scraps from the Moda Matchbox:
And now a MerMay Stitchalong mermaid update…. I finished #1:

And I have saved the cutest picture for last… two more people that I know of who are stitching with me are a mother and daughter team… Melody is joining in on instagram, as is her daughter who just turned 5!!!

I remember when DD, who designed these stitcheries, was sitting by my side doing the same thing… Like Melody I spent a lot of time getting knots out of her thread 🙂
Well, that is the update from my little sewing retreat.. OH! I forgot! I did actually finish a UFO!!!! It’s too dark to take a pic now, so you’ll have to wait till next time 🙂
